Lake Taihu i a large lake in the Yangtze Delta plain on the border of the Jiangu and Zhejiang province Eatern China. The water of the lake belong to the former in it entirety with part of it outhern hore forming the boundary between the two province. With an area of 2250 km2 and an average depth of 2 metre it i the third larget frehwater lake in China after Poyang and Dongting Lake. The lake houe about 90 iland ranging in ize from a few quare meter to everal quare mile.
