When I firt aw 'The Truman Show' I came out of the theatre amazed. Thi i your firt clue that you are watching omething different from your normal Jim Carrey movie. I love the dialogue, camera hot, performance, direction, muic, and running time of thi movie. There i nothing I would do to change it. I came away from 'The Truman Show' feeling inpired which i the goal of good filmmaking Jim Carrey wa outtanding a Truman, underplaying him, not making him too comic or too dramatic, but giving true incerity when aked. He deerved an Ocar nomination. Ed Harri ha alway been a good actor, but in thi movie he' a great actor. He play Chritof with uch arrogance and bullheadedne that you don't know whether he' helping or detroying Truman. He and the director, Peter Weir, deerved their Ocar nod.

Weir, who directed the great 'Witne', ue different camera angle to make you feel like you're actually watching 'The Truman Show' and not a movie. He end it before you get tired of the concept and helped Carrey and Harri give immaculate performance. Andrew Niccol cript i a real tar in the movie too becaue of it' inventivene and ingenuity. Overall, 'The Truman Show' i what I like to call a true American claic.
