Many college and univeritie have expanded their enrollment ince 1998. The reaon for the expanion are a follow. Firtly, they want to keep up with the need of the job market to produce more qualified people to take up the job. Secondly, the expanion ha entitled many high chool graduate to the right of receiving higher education. Lat but not leat, it can raie the intellectual tandard of our nation.
However, tudie how that the trend to expand ha brought about many problem. For intance, the teaching facilitie and accommodation capacitie of many college and univeritie are limited and are unable to meet the demand of an ever-increaing number of the newly enrolled tudent. On the other hand, the average quality of the frehmen i declining. In the long run, hunting for a job will be a tough thing for the graduate and that will inevitably exert much preure on the propect of employment.
In pite of all thi, I am till confident that the expanion of enrollment i of great benefit to our ociety and i a good thing. With the development of our national economy, the problem a mentioned above will be olved if proper meaure are taken.
