Mi Green wa going to give a lecture on Monday afternoon. Yet on Sunday night he wa told that he had to go to an important meeting the next day at exactly the ame time. “No one can be in two place at once. What hall I do?”he thought. But oon, he had an idea.
At five to three on Monday afternoon Mi Green went along to the lecture room. There were about twenty tudent waiting there for her.“I‘m orry,”he told them, “I won‘t be able to give my lecture today.”The tudent looked urpried. Mi Green explained that he had an important meeting. “However,”he went on, “although I can‘t be with you myelf, my voice can!”Then he put a mall tape recorder on the dek. “You ee, I‘ve recorded my lecture and you can liten to it without me.”Thinking that he had ettled the matter, Mi Green turned on the recorder and left.The meeting finihed a little early. Mi Green decided to go back to her tudent. She tood for a moment outide the lecture room, litening to her own voice. Then very quietly, he opened the door. To her urprie, the room wa empty. A he looked around, he aw a number of recorder----all“litening”to her lecture.
“Well,”he thought,“if I can be in two place at the ame time,why can‘t they?”
