madame curie wa one of the greatet cientit in the world. he wa born in 1867. he firt lived in poland, then went to france. when he wa very young he wa intereted in cience. he worked very hard and dicovered the element radium. he received the nobel prize in 1903 and in 1911.
for the lat ten year of her life he wa almot blind. the radium with which he had worked for many year had caued blindne and illne and finally a dieae of the blood. he died in pari at the age o~ 66.
today he i remembered a a great cientit. but he i alo remembered for her determination and courage.
