Oliver Twit, one of the mot famou work of Charle Dicken’, i a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century.

The author who himelf wa born in a poor family wrote thi novel in hi twentie with a view to reveal the ugly mak of thoe cruel criminal and to expoe the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty treet in London.

The hero of thi novel wa Oliver Twit, an orphan, who wa thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He uffered enormou pain, uch a hunger, thirt, beating and abue. While reading the tragic experience of the little Oliver, I wa hocked by hi uffering. I felt for the poor boy, but at the ame time I deteted the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, a wa written in all the bet torie, the goodne eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plot that attracted me mot i that after the theft, little Oliver wa allowed to recover in the kind care of Mr. Maylie and Roe and began a new life. He went for walk with them, or Roe read to him, and he worked hard at hi leon. He felt a if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardhip and poverty.

How can uch a little boy who had already uffered oppreive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reaon i the nature of goodne. I think it i the mot important information implied in the novel by Dicken-he believed that goodne could conquer every difficulty. Although I don’t think goodne i omnipotent, yet I do believe that thoe who are kind-hearted live more happily than thoe who are evil-minded.WWw.hAOZUowEn.com

For me, the nature of goodne i one of the mot neceary character for a peron. Goodne i to human what water i to fih. He who i without goodne i an utterly worthle peron. On the contrary, a the famou aying goe, ‘The fragrance alway tay in the hand that give the roe’, he who i with goodne undoubtedly i a happy and ueful peron. People receiving hi help are grateful to him and he alo get gratified from what he ha done, and thu he can do good to both the people he ha helped and himelf.

To my diappointment, nowaday ome people eem to doubt the exitence of the goodne in humanity. They look down on people’ honety and kindne, thinking it foolih of people to be warm-hearted. A a reult, they how no ympathy to thoe who are in trouble and eldom offer to help other. On the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. In their opinion, money i the only real object while emotion and morality are nihility. If they cannot get profit from howing their ‘kindne’, they draw back when other are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he i down. They are one of the ort that I really detet.
