A debate heated up recently, thank to Amy Chua’ book about a Chinee “tiger mother”. In her latet book entitled “The Battle Hymn of a Tiger Mother”, Amy decribe how he adopt traditional Chinee method to educate her children, which i conidered by many weterner to be too hard and inhuman.
One of the iue being dicued after the book wa publihed i whether early education hould focu on children’ happine. Thoe upporting the idea argue that early education i intended to help children grow up in a cheerful atmoph ere and inpire them to better themelve in an all-round way. Therefore we hould allow children to enjoy the happine which can only be found during their childhood. On the contrary, people holding the oppoite view init that ince in reality life i full of happine and pain, children hould be well prepared for that even during childhood. Otherwie, they would find it hard to adapt to life in the future.
In my opinion, jut a Confuciu aid, education method hould be adopted baed on individual peronalitie. Moreover, educator hould repect children a independent human being.

在我看来,正如孔子所说,教育方法应采用基于个性。此外,教师应该尊重孩子作为独立的人。
