I grew up in a mall town and then moved to a big city, o I have experienced the good and bad ide of both. I never thought that I would like living in a big city, but I wa wrong. After ten year of living in one, I cant imagine ever living in a mall town again.
Small town and big citie both have ome problem in term of tranportation. In a mall town, you have to own a car to enure a comfortable living .you cant get around without one becaue there int any kind of public tranportation. Big citie generally have heavy traffic and expenive parking, but there you have a choice of taking public tranportation. It not free, but it often cheaper than driving when you conider ga and time, epecially if you dont have a car, youre better off in the city.
I love the excitement of big citie. Small town have a low pace. Large citie mean you have to adapt to a variety of ituation, like finding a new route to work or trvine a new retaurant. I enjoy that challenge very much. Another part of the excitement of city living i the variety of cultural activitie available. There i a wild aortment of theatre muic and dance performance available in big citie. Thee thing are rare in mall one.
The final thing I think about large citie i the perity of the people. the United State i made up of people of different race, religion, abilitie, and interet. However, you eldom find uch a variety of people in a mall town. I think that living in an area where everyone wa jut like me would quickly become boring.
Of coure, ecurity i a concern, and that one area where mall town are uperior to big citie. Still, I would rather be a bit more caution and live a large city than to feel ecure but bored.

ome people believe that televiion ha detroyed communication among friend and family. i think thi i an exaggeration. in my opinion, whether or not televiion hurt communication depend on what type of program i being viewed. more importantly, it depend on the type of viewer.
there are empty program and educational program. empty program do not challenge people. they have jut enough toryline to keep them from witching channel. there are alo paive and active viewer. a paive viewer will jut watch televiion without thinking about what be or he eeing. the combination of an empty program and a paive viewer make communication unlikely. paive viewer jut continue to watch, actually enjoying the fact that they dont have to think. they wont break away to talk about programming with friend and family. even with better programming, paive viewer till wont think or communicate much. the probably even prefer the empty program becaue the better programming i too much work.
on the other hand, active viewer watching educational programming alway want to hare what they ee with friend and family. “educational” doent necearily mean documentarie on bb. they could be drama with realitic relationhip or action how with clever plotline. when active viewer watch program, they have idea and talk about them with other. good programming inpire them to change their thinking and their live. unlike paive viewer, they dont want to watch more and more without thinking.
televiion may detroy communication among paive viewer. thoe viewer probably dont want to communicate with friend and family much anyway. for active viewer who already enjoy communicating, televiion i actually helpful!
