Thi phenomenon ha actually developed quite naturally in recent decade due to our educational ytem focu on Englih tudy and therefore on Englih-peaking culture. To many tudent, Wetern culture ha become a ymbol of elf-expreion and freedom from retraint. Celebrating Wetern holiday ha become a way for tudent to expre their love of omething different from traditional Chinee culture, and to have fun together with their own generation.
In my opinion, it fine for tudent learning Englih and tudying Englih-peaking culture to celebrate Wetern holiday with their teacher and clamate. However, the way I ee it, unle the young people later go abroad to live in thoe culture, there i no reaon for them to continue to celebrate them.
