from the graph, we can ee that grade have been riing rapidly. it can well be aid that there i a grade "inflatiou."

take, for eample, the tone mountain jr. college. in the fall emeter of 1968, 16% of the tudent taking the eam received a'. however, in 1978, within ten year, the percentage went up by 13%. twenty nine percent of the tudent received a'. a for the b grade tudem, in 1968, the percentage wa 31%. ten year later, the percentage dropped to 26%. there wa a 5% decreae, or rather, the tudent' grade roe by 5 %.

now let u have a look at the third graph, which how that in 1968 37% of the eaminee received c' while in 1978 the ratio fell to 21%. in other word, there wa a 16% rie in grade.

and in the forth graph, we can ee that 8% of the tudent received d'. in 1978 only 4% of the eaminee are d grade tudent. that mean the grade doubled within ten year a compared to that of 1968.
