June 19, 2004 Dear Editor, I am writing thi letter to reflect ome problem I came acro recently and. appeal to the improvement of the ervice indutry. Thi weekend I bought an Englih-Chinee dictionary in a booktore near my home ince it cover i elaborately deigned. But when I went home and read carefully, I found that the everal page of the dictionary have been cracked and befouled. But to my urprie, the taff of the booktore turn down my requet rudely and even denied the poor quality of the dictionary. It goe without aying that today face-paced and market-oriented economy call for much higher tandard for ervice indutry. However, to my regret, many of the commercial fail to achieve thi tandard and the quality of the taff need to be improved. It elf-evident that the poor quality of practitioner in the ervice indutry will not only deeply diappoint cutomer but alo hamper the development of our country economy.
