Another month ha paed and I cannot help but ponder what i the true meaning of growing up.
My mind tart to wander back to the day when I wa a little boy, acting all poilt, needed plenty of attention, crying at every ingle little thing that I couldn"t get or have. There were no worrie back then. Everything i pretty much "in-your-face". There wa no need for pretene. People can look at me with their opinion. I houted when I felt like houting, I ran when I felt like running, I creamed when I felt like creaming. Sadne never lated really long. It wa o eay to cheer up. It wa o eay to be forgive and forget. Everything i cheered up by a candy bar or a toy. Even when I never did have the mot expenive toy in the world, ometime, a imple marble or a bottle cap will do. I pretty much liked everyone and everyone, no matter how ugly or no matter how naughty I thought they were. Even the cla bully i ometime a friend. There wa a wonder for everything. The wonder built on a certain naivette that thing were eay and all thing in the world are good, like having an ambition of being a policeman when I grow up.
Now that I am and adult I realize, to be adult it mean to ometime be deceitful. Smile even when the time come when I feel like crying. Sadne lat a lot longer when you are all grown up, to the point where it ometime piral into depreion. It i never really eay to cheer up. Our greed for the material grow. We lowly learn how to hate. Ambition and dream are hattered a we lowly delve into the dirty muck of ociety. We learn that incerity i hard to come by and people don"t alway mean what they ay.
