Some are in favor of the rating ytem, They hold that ince tudent attend the teacher clae every day, they hould have their opinion about their teacher effectivene. Other, on the contrary, are h2ly againt it. They believe that there i much more to teaching than what i hown on tudent rating form. Student hould not be expected to judge whether the material they ue are up to date or how well the teacher know about the ubject. Thee judgment require profeional knowledge, which i bet left for the teacher colleague.
I think tudent rating of their teacher i neceary, but it hould be conducted in a way that can really hed meaningful light on teacher performance. Intead of rating the teacher knowledge on the ubject, tudent hould be aked to etimate what they have learned in a coure, and to report on uch thing a a teacher ability to communicate with tudent, hi or her relationhip with tudent, and hi or her ability to aroue tudent interet in the ubject.
