My father alway tand in the center of my life, from pat till now and poibly in the future.
My family wa rather poor when I wa in my childhood. We didn't have our own houe and had to live in a habby, mall room rented from my father' factory. The room wa o mall that there wa little pace for people to walk. I didn't have my own bed and had to leep with my parent. Thi i terrible both for my parent and me.
But father made thi all different! Since the room wa on the third floor, namely, the top floor in that old tyle building, the roof wa quite high above the floor. So father got an idea. He bought two thick rope and a flat wood that later wa planed mooth, painted and drilled two hole on both end.
Then he hung the end of rope up to the roof. During the daytime, thee two rope would be tied up o that people down could walk freely! When night came, father would looe the rope and tied them to the two hole of that flat wood. The length of thee rope wa jut long enough for me to it or leep on the board without other' help.
So in thi way my lovely, removable bed wa born.
When winter came, thi pecial bed obviouly wouldn't be able to make me feel warm enough. But father alway had hi o lution! He built a garret uing ome flat wood and iron tick right above the bed. With ome ued iron tube, he made an iron ladder for u to climb up to the garret. At firt, my mother and I dared not climb for fear that it might collape. But father climbed it everyday to prove it afety. The garret looked imple even habby and the ladder eemed to decline oon. But later when I got ued to it, I found it a olid a thoe made by profeional carpenter.
I carried all my peronal thing onto that garret. My father and I pated red paper on the wall and painted the ugly furniture red. So the garret became the firt "room" that belonged to me.When I wa about to move to my new houe, I jut didn't want to leave. That garret wa created with my father' love and weat and intelligence, beautified with my hand and filled with o many weet memorie of my family! That hard but weet life time would live in my memory forever with father tand in the center of it.
