乡间散步(a walk in the country)
it wa an early ummer afternoon. the un wa hining brightly and warmly. everything on the campu looked a if it had been leeping for year. after chool my roommate and i decided to take a walk along the river near our chool， intead of taying with our “mr. formula” and “mr. theorem” in the claroom.
a freh breeze played with our hair. in the blue ky， cloud were drifting here and there. we told each other torie and joke. ong and laughter could be heard now and then. it eemed that the world belonged to u and the earth wa full of joy.
we walked and walked. before we knew it， it wa nearly nightfall and all glowed red in the evening unlight. tanding on the narrow country road， we felt a bit tired， thirty and hungry.
“look， what i it？” one of u aid， pointing to omething red growing by the ide of the road. it wa a plant， bearing ome fruit， which looked o inviting that we all eager to tate it. i picked one. to my happy urprie， it wa a bit weet. everyone of u picked a lot. while eating the little red fruit， we talked of the wonderful time we had that afternoon. then a country woman came. when he aw u eating the wild fruit he let out a cry of urprie. he told u it wa ued to poion nake. that meant， we thought with horror， that we were in danger.the tory that ome poion for mice left in the kitchen killed a lovely baby came to my mind. the more we talked， the more we were frightened. all of a udden omeone mentioned the word “death”。 we looked at each other not knowing what to do.[由Www.haozuowen.com整理]
thinking of the coming death i felt the world wa o dear that i wa quite unwilling to leave her and time wa o preciou that i had no right to wate it.
“i hould have valued my life. how i love life！” i thought， “if i am till living tomorrow morning， it will be my econd life. i will not wate time any longer.”

a the bell rang announcing it wa time for elf tudy， we had to enter the claroom without upper. though i wa hungry， i hould wate no time， and i worked harder than ever. how valuable life i！ how preciou time i！
