2.Although there have been a great many complaint about the CET ytem, we cannot deny the contribution it ha made ince it introduction in 1988. In college and univeritie, the CET ytem ha given tudent great motivation to learn Englih well. Moreover, it ha provided a reliable criterion to evaluate Englih language teaching objectively and cientifically.
3.Evaluation i a key component in College Englih teaching. A comprehenive, objective, cientific and accurate evaluation ytem i of vital importance to the achievement of the coure goal. It not only help teacher obtain feedback, improve adminitration of teaching, and enure teaching quality but alo provide tudent with an effective mean to adjut their learning trategie and method, and improve their learning efficiency.
4.Of coure, we mut admit that there are till ome drawback/flaw with/diadvantage to the CET ytem.
5.In the firt place, the type of quetion i not related to what i taught in the coure.
6.The deign of the tet paper eem not intended to give a fair evaluation of the teaching and learning of College Englih.

9.Even if we have paed CET 4 and 6, our practical abilitie have not been developed fully. It i not uncommon to witne a college graduate who have obtained an excellent core in the CET re not open hi mouth in the preence of Englih-peaking people.
10.The CET attache great importance to reading but ignore the ability of litening and peaking, which i not in accordance with the practical purpoe of language learning.
11.In the hort run, it may give rie to/create ome confuion, but in the long run the ongoing reform will produce ome favorable reult in the circle of Englih language teaching.
12.I believe that the reform will have a poitive effect on the improvement of teaching and learning of Englih inChina. And I hope the reformed Chinee CET ytem would be a valid and reliable a the American GRE.
