The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Game of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) ha recently received the ISO14001 certificate, meaning that the environmental management ytem (EMS) et up by the BOCOG conform to the ISO14001:1966 tandard and requirement.
The certificate iued by China' national environmental authentication center on October 13 cover area including BOCOG' office work, the event route planning, venue planning, partner electing, contracted hotel electing, communication and environmental management.
The BOCOG tarted etablihing the EMS following BOCOG preident Liu Qi' approval in April 2004. After expert' examination and appraial of a trial practice of everal month, the BOCOG paed the certification in September thi year.
The ytem will be implemented from now on to enure BOCOG' cientific management of the Olympiad' preparation and hoting.
