it i foolih for educator to precribe(规定) that there mut be a certain amount of knowledge neceary for every child to be taught. it’ more foolih o believe that unle forced work children will never learn anything. forcing children to accept a much a poible what we adult think they mut be taught can only harm their intellectual(智力的) development. the child who i forced to learn or learn omething only to pleaed or appeae(缓和) hi teacher and parent forget what he learn when the need for pleaing i over.
a good chool hould create an environment in which each child in hi way follow hi curioity(好奇心). he hould learn everything naturally rather than forcibly(强迫地). in thi way hi potential will be fully developed and he will make a maximum contribution to ociety.
