1."循序渐进"——就是人们按照学科的知识体系和自身的智能条件，系统而有步骤地进行学习。它要求人们应注重基础，切忌好高骛远，急于求成。循序渐进的原则体现为：一要打好基础。二要由易到难。三要量力而行。

单词：毫无疑问是第一关。大纲标准是4500左右，但是这里面包括很多我们已经认识的词汇，所以真正需要背的只有大约20xx左右(当然，视个人情况而定，或许还会更少)。我个人比较喜欢被普通的单词书，一页一页地背比较有成就感，但是很多人觉得这种方法过于枯燥。我见过的比较好的用“方法”背单词的书是星火英语出的一本《文章贯通四级单词》，这本书用比较少的篇幅囊括了大部分四级词汇，相对于《胡敏读故事记单词》来说，更容易。关于背单词我唯一的建议就是尽快集中突破——用三天时间，每天读。千万不要按照原来的习惯，一本书计划要一个月，那样肯定难以坚持，过两天就不愿意背了。一定要一鼓作气，拿出多一点的时间一次攻克。不要认为3天攻克四级单词是不可能的，其实这一点都不难——我是说，这一遍不要试图记住每一个单词的每一种意思，只要记住一个意思就可以了，以后你还会慢慢接触，但现在一定要快速突破一遍。
语法：语法就不要系统地学一遍了，一来没时间，二来也没必要。只要对照语法书把语法选择题进行句子成分的分析就行了，先找句子主干，再找出每一个修饰成分，它们之间的关系，分析几十个句子之后语法就基本上清楚了。
阅读：词汇量是基础，一定要做到第一步。
