The Dragon Boat Fetival i celebrated by boat race (龙舟赛) in the hape of dragon. Competing team (竞争团队) row their boat forward to a drumbeat (击古)racing to reach the finih end firt.
The boat race during the Dragon Boat Fetival are traditional cutom (传统习俗)to attempt to (试图)recue (搭救) the patriotic poet (爱国诗人)Chu Yuan. Chu Yuan drowned (溺死) on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month in 277 B.C. Chinee citizen now throw bamboo leave (竹叶) filled with cooked rice into the water. Therefore the fih could eat the rice rather than the hero poet. Thi later on turned into the cutom of eating tzungtzu and rice dumpling(棕子).
