  Shall I pare thee to a summer’s day?

  Thou art more lovely and more temperate:

  Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,

  And summer’s lease hath all too short a date:

  Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines

  And often is his gold plexion dimmed;

  And every fair from fair sometimes declines,

  By chance or nature’s changing course untrimmed;

  But thy eternal summer shall not fade,

  Nor lose possession of that fair thou own;

  Nor shall death brag thou wander in his shade,

  When in eternal lines to time thou grow:

  So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,

  So long lives this, and this gives life to thee

  By William Shakespeare

  你可是更加可爱,更加温婉;

  夏季的日子又未免太短暂;

  他那金彩的脸色也会被被遮暗;

  被时机或者自然的代谢所摧残;

  你永远不会失去你美的形象;

  你将在不朽的诗中与时光同长;

  And if the golden sun,Should cease to shine its light,

  Just one smile from you,Would make my whole world bright

  Wine es in at the mouth

  And love es in at the eye;

  That’s all we shall know for truth

  Before we grow old and die

  I lift the glass to my mouth,

  I look at you, and I sigh

  2:‘Another Valentine’ by Wendy Cope

  Today we are obliged to be romantic

  And think of yet another valentine

  We know the rules and we are both pedantic:

  Today’s the day we have to be romantic

  Our love is old and sure, not new and frantic

  You know I’m yours and I know you are mine

  And saying that has made me feel romantic,

  My dearest love, my darling valentine

  3:‘Bright Star’ by John Keats

  Bright star, would I were stedfast as thou art–

  Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night

  And watching, with eternal lids apart,

  Like nature’s patient, sleepless Eremite,

  The moving waters at their priestlike task

  Of pure ablution round earth’s human shores,

  Or gazing on the new soft-fallen mask

  Of snow upon the mountains and the moors–

  No–yet still stedfast, still unchangeable,

  Pillow’d upon my fair love’s ripening breast,

  To feel for ever its soft fall and swell,

  Awake for ever in a sweet unrest,

  Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath,

  And so live ever–or else swoon to death

  4:‘We Are Made One with What We Touch and See’

  by Oscar Wilde

  We shall be notes in that great Symphony

  Whose cadence circles through the rhythmic spheres,

  And all the live World’s throbbing heart shall be

  One with our heart, the stealthy creeping years

  Have lost their terrors now, we shall not die,

  The Universe itself shall be our Immortality!

  5:Famous, Romantic Love Poems

  Wild nights! Wild nights!

  Were I with thee,

  Wild nights should be

  Our luxury!

  Futile the winds

  To a heart in port,

  Done with the pass,

  Done with the chart

  Rowing in Eden!

  Ah! the sea!

  Might I but moor

  To-night in thee!
