Today, a growing number of children in China are taying at home, not becaue they are giving up education but becaue their parent think they will actually receive a better education at home. They are being homechooled at every level — kindergarten, primary, junior middle and even enior middle chool.
People’ opinion vary on homechooling. Some people upport it, aying China’ current education mode put heavy tudy preure on tudent and many of them uffer from depreion and even commit uicide. Some oppoe it, maintaining that tudent need interaction with clamate, o that they can fit into ociety. Still, there are people who init that homechooling i a game for rich people only, which cannot be expanded to the whole of ociety.
Peronally, I think homechooling i adviable a long a the family can afford it. A people’ peronalitie differ, o education hould be diverified. What’ more, we do have ucceful example of homechooling. For example, Zheng Yuanjie, a famou Chinee writer of children’ torie had hi on tudy at home after hi on finihed primary chool tudy. Today, hi on ha grown up to be a ucceful peron.
