一：My Hometown
My hometown i beautiful place It tand near a wide river at the foot of low green hill. It ha many tall building and wide treet. There are tree and flower everywhere.
But it ha not alway been like that. In the old day, it wa a ad dirty little town. Landlord and merchant lived in the few good houe. For the working people there were only dark, unhealthy room in old building and hut in narrow muddy treet. Nearly everyone wa poor and many had no work.
Everything ha changed ince liberation. The people, led by the Party, have got rid of the mud and dirt. They have put up chool, theater, hop and flat. They have an aembly hall and a hopital. Along the river they have built office, hotel and park. A lot of factorie have prung up. On the river, treamer and boat come and go buily, day and night. They carry the product of our indutrie to all part of the country.
I love my hometown, and I love it people. They alo have changed. Healthy and happy, they are going all out to build ocialim.
