  第一篇:的英语口语演讲稿范文

Kipling said:“East is east, and west is west, and never the twain shallmeet!” But now, a century later, they have met.

They have met in business. They have met in education. They have met in thearts. Some people will argue that these meetings will leave us with a choicebetween east and west, but I believe that the best future lies in the creativecombination of both worlds. We can make western ideas, customs and technologyour own, and adapt them to our own use. We can enjoy the best of both worlds, because our tradition is, above all, one of selecting the best and making it ourown.

I love Beijing and Hennan opera because it always reminds me of who I am.But I am also a fan of pop music, especially English songs. So I have combinedeastern melody with western language. It is called western henna opera.

When two cultures meet, there may be things in one culture, which do notfit into the tradition of the other. When this happens, we need to learn tounderstand and respect the customs of another culture. Then there are certainthings some people may not like. To this, I will say, if you do not like it,please try to tolerate it. To learn to tolerate what you personally don’t likeis a great virtue at a time when different cultures mix and merge. Before us,there are two rivers, eastern and western cultures. At present, they may run indifferent courses. But eventually, they will converge into the vast sea of humanculture.由好作网www.hAOzuowEn.com整理

Right now, I can see peoples of eastern and western cultures, standing sideby side, singing the Olympic theme song: we are hand in hand, heart to heart, together we will shape a beautiful tomorrow! Thank you!

  第二篇:的英语口语演讲稿范文

  Good morning, ladies and gentlemen:

Today i'm very happy to be here to share with you some of my thoughts onthe topic of globalization. and first of all, i would like to mention an eventin our recent history.

Thirty years ago, american president richard nixon made an epoch-makingvisit to china, a country still isolated at that time. premier zhou enlai saidto him, "your handshake came over the vastest ocean in the world - twenty-fiveyears of no communication." ever since then, china and america have exchangedmany handshakes of various kinds. the fundamental implication of this example isthat the need and desire to communicate across differences in culture andideology is not only felt by the two countries but by many other nations aswell.

As we can see today, environmentalists from different countries are makingjoint efforts to address the issue of global warming, economists are seekingsolutions to financial crises that rage in a particular region but nonethelesscripple the world's economy, and diplomats and politicians are getting togetherto discuss the issue of combating terrorism. peace and prosperity has become acommon goal that we are striving for all over the world. underlying this mightytrend of globalization is the echo of e. m. forster's words, "only connect!"

With the it revolution taking place, traditional boundaries of humansociety fall away. our culture, politics, society and commerce are being sloshedinto a large melting pot of humanity. in this interlinked world, there are nooutsiders, for a disturbance in one place is likely to impact other parts of theglobe. we have begun to realize that a world pided cannot endure.

China is now actively integrating into the world. our recent entry to thewto is a good example. for decades, we have taken pride in being self-reliant,but now we realize the importance of participating in and contributing to abroader economic order. from the precarious role in the world arena to ourpresent wto membership, we have come a long way.

But what does the way ahead look like? in some parts of the world peopleare demonstrating against globalization. are they justified then, in criticizingthe globalizing world? instead of narrowing the gap between the rich and thepoor, they say, globalization enables developed nations to swallow thedeveloping nations' wealth in debts and interest. globalization, they argue, should be about an earnest interest in every other nation's economic health.

We are reminded by karl marx that capital goes beyond national borders andeludes control from any other entity. this has become a reality. multinationalcorporations are seeking the lowest cost, the largest market, and the mostfavorable policy. they are often powerful lobbyists in governmentdecision-making, ruthless expansionists in the global market place and adevastating presence to local businesses.

For china, still more challenges exist. how are we going to ensure a smoothtransition from the planned economy to a market-based one? how to construct alegal system that is sound enough and broad enough to respond to the needs of adynamic society? how to maintain our cultural identity in an increasinglyhomogeneous world? and how to define greatness in our rise as a peace-lovingnation? globalization entails questions that concern us all.

Like many young people my age in china, i want to see my country getprosperous and enjoying respect in the international community. but it seems tome that mere patriotism is not just enough. it is vitally important that weyoung people do more serious thinking and broaden our mind to bigger issues.and, there might never be easy answers to those issues such as globalization, but to take them on and give them honest thinking is the first step to beprepared for both opportunities and challenges coming our way. and this is alsoone of the thoughts that came to me while preparing this speech. thank you.

  第三篇:的英语口语演讲稿范文

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived:Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day itwas announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructedboats and left. Except for Love.

Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the lastpossible moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said,"Richness, can youtake me with you?"

Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in myboat. There is no place here for you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel."Vanity, please help me!"

"I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanityanswered.

Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you."

"Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"

Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not evenhear when Love called her.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was anelder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where theywere going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizinghow much was owed the elder, Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helpedme?"

  "It was Time," Knowledge answered.

"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"

Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time iscapable of understanding how valuable Love is."
